Poem - I Shall Miss Quintessa

I SHALL MISS QUINTESSA

I shall miss the silence the space
And the stares that are worlds apart
Onto which these stains of all strife
And all life they depart for the dark

But never too engraved these sins much
Denied and all griefs so imbibed
And for places to where these steps
I would take for the sake of the sane...

I shall miss those sirens of sadness
That bellowed in all scenes so undone
For white lies and dark sighs it is time now
For the world to welcome me back

From this altar for pain to departed red roses
Of hope that had bloomed once again
For this I unto me as I carve once again, this
Glorious path to heavens amidst all lost smiles...

And to this end of all misery I now stand
At the threshold of more bright white faces!
Of things left unsaid for when the last I set out
For darkness within and without for within thus remained...

And so now I shall miss this unruly
Hubris; this darling wrecked Quintessa
For the spirits they had lurched from the void
And then straight to the dawn for now and forever!

For never this me he’ll forget of the place of whence I came
Through the land so forgotten but never forgiven
For the fires in my heart for the future of battlefields
And to the plane of all stars for a place I called home…
